Dr. John Dykes grew up in Atlanta, GA where he first gained interest in cardiology during high school while working as a cardiac aide in a catheterization lab. He earned a B.S. in Microbiology in 2005 from Auburn University followed by a M.D. from Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA in 2009. He completed his pediatric residency at University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, TN in 2012. Dr. Dykes then moved to South Florida for his cardiology fellowship at Miami Children’s Hospital. In 2015, he moved to California for a fellowship in heart failure & transplant with Stanford University’s Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Therapies (PACT) team. In 2016, Dr. Dykes joined the faculty at Stanford Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital and currently is a member of the PACT team along with medical director of the VAD program.
