I am a Midwest native who has had the opportunity to train on both coasts, Stanford for residency and Boston Children’s for fellowship. I have had the great opportunity to start my career as a pediatric cardiac anesthesiologist with the wonderful members of the Heart Center at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital. The practice of pediatric cardiac anesthesiology requires an inquiring mind and constant adaptation. Nowhere is that more evident than the evolving management strategies for heart failure utilizing mechanical circulatory support. I am excited to be a part of the PCAL Mechanical Support Workshop.
