Kara Furman grew up in Southeast Michigan before attending Harvard for Undergrad where she studied Anthropology. She then acompleted an MD,PhD at Yale with a PhD in Neuroscience before coming here for combined pediatrics and anesthesia residency. She then completed both her general pediatric and peds cardiac fellowships with us and is excited to (finally) join as faculty. She is interested in expanding neuromonitoring techniques for anesthesia to better tailor sedation to the developing brain.
