Kara S. Motonaga, MD, FHRS, CEPS-P is a pediatric and adult congenital electrophysiologist at Stanford University. She works at both Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford and Stanford Hospital and Clinics Medical Center. She completed her pediatric cardiology fellowship and advance fellowship training in pediatric electrophysiology at Stanford University. She is board certified in pediatrics, pediatric cardiology, and adult congenital heart disease. She is also certified by the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners as a certified electrophysiology specialist in pediatrics (CEPS-P) and is a Fellow of the Heart Rhythm Society. Her research focuses on cardiac resynchronization, ablation outcomes in children, and medical education. She is a founding faculty member and Co-Director of the Stanford University Pediatric Cardiology Boot Camp which is held annually each spring for incoming first year pediatric cardiology fellows from programs throughout North America. She also developed and is Director of the Stanford University Pediatric Cardiology Online Preparatory Course which is made available to incoming first year pediatric cardiology fellows throughout North America who are unable to attend the annual boot camp in person. She is looking forward to expanding her educational efforts to provide access to pediatric and congenital arrhythmia resources to learners across the globe!
