Dr. Komal Kamra is a Clinical Professor of Anesthesiology at Stanford University School of Medicine. She is board certified in Anesthesiology and Pediatric Anesthesiology. After finishing her anesthesia residency at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, she completed a fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesiology at Stanford. She has a Master of Science in Medical Informatics from Northwestern University, Chicago. She specializes in anesthetic care of pediatric and adult patients with complex congenital heart disease undergoing surgical, interventional, and radiologic procedures. She also provides anesthetic care for pediatric patients undergoing heart and lung transplants. Her special interests include transesophageal echocardiography, informatics, faculty mentorship, wellness, and quality improvement. She has hosted several national-level workshops and co-authored articles and book chapters on topics encompassing anesthetic care and transesophageal echocardiography in pediatric patients with congenital heart disease.
